Description:

Duplex stainless steels are a family of stainless steels. These are called duplex (or austenitic-ferritic) grades because their metallurgical structure consists of two phases, austenite (face-centered cubic lattice) and ferrite (body centered cubic lattice) in roughly equal proportions.S31803/S32205 is a synthetic duplex stainless steel composed of 45% ferrite and 55% manganese. So it is called dual phase steel. It has twice the mechanical strength, compression resistance and corrosion resistance than ordinary austenite. S31803/S32205 has many advantages over 316L and 318L materials: lower thermal expansion coefficient and good thermal conductivity.
